Peter Ron

This is very common stuff....
OK when i first stepped into SASTRA, for the first few days i was bowled by the language change!i mean its Tamil alright for all practical purposes... but whattha!!!at home,ma taught us to be strict tam brahm.... ;) it always used to be "Sollungol"or "kettelo?" or just generally "ennadu idu?"
but an yr into college and practical tamil there was "sollinga" or "kettiya?" and "inna?" respectively.. very tanjore slang ;) trust me i was whacked at home for using such language!atleast now, i know what to speak where and when... ;)
A few other things that i picked up there in two yrs are:
  • Kadalai-this is when u are talking very closely to a person of opposite gender... ;)
  • Mokkai-also called "sollu" in telugu(golt)... it means useless talk,or pj's.
  • Golt-the language "telugu" is called as golt down south.. ;)
  • Peter-this is by far the best!any guy/girl who apeks too much english is said to be petering!!(thanks to vivek for the mirinda ad)
  • Edward-this is a superlative of peter.... a walking oxford dictionary is called an edward.
  • Aarva Kolaru-in short an aako, actually is excitement... an aako is one who loves to do things just too perfectly!like a person who submits an assignment right on the date of submission is an aako...
  • Summa adurradu illa- ;) thanks to rajnikanth as sivaji, this is used practically by every soul there!!! obv u all know what it means...
  • Khhhhhhhhhhhh-now this, was propagated by us lot.it is just the collection of a lot of saliva whisch is accumulated at the throat and ready to be connoned at any person who has just done the gravest mistake of his life(i just petered a lot ;))
  • worsht-this is pretty common... just an emphasis to say that stuff is sad...
  • yela- now this is the pakka madurai tamil, its just a replacement of "dei" which is used to address friends.
  • Bulb-this is just used to pull ur leg... it means"haha look at u,dint get what u asked for"
  • Aappu-this means trouble ahead, like the thermo paper or the flumeach probs...
a few things i learnt from roomates are:-
  • oru neeshon iri-(from niru)meaning wait a min...
  • pakki pannadai-(from bunesh)a few showers of choicest blessings ;) means stupid, dumbass etc etc
  • olari kottade-(from pavitra)meaning dont blabber like hell
  • chen-chwenchy-(from bhavani)this is how u pronounce ten-twenty wen u have ulcers in ur mouth ;)
and the general stuff like macha, machi, verr verr dyetti(very very dirty) etc etc....

but seriously, i can never forget namma very own "lite teesko mama" or "ye vooru manadi" or "apna hyderabad hai,hum aiseech rehte"!!!!!!

comments please... dil kholke!

ok, its that five lettered word all over again-the one that every student in the whole wide world loathes whole-heartedly... EXAMS...
why do we have to be tested?why should there be any such thing as exams?why should students be discriminated on the basis of scores?doesnt anyone,ANYone realise its time to realise other talents??? i mean, its gen N for heaven's sake!!!dont we students know our potential?cant we go out there, show the world what we are?can we not NOt have exams please?(you know what i meaan right?)
its so unbecoming of the management to do this to poor li'l us...
why cant we just be free birds???!!!
well never mind this post... its just a li'l girl whining and complaining abt exams... happens when u've an exam in five days... general mindset before and during exams....
ok if u've come this far then please do comment.... :P

of buses and sardars

has anyone ever experienced the most irritating thing on earth--driving on the left side of a bus along a long straight road where there are a million bus-stops along the path?many would have.... but not all would've experienced a situation where, there is a lone SARDAR riding his motorbike on your left... which means you are sandwiched between a bus and a sardar... gosh!hard to decide which one is more irritating!ok anyway.along the university road,i was riding away to glory when the sardar first spotted me.at a speed breaker,we both slowed down... and that was where he saw me.[:P]then we both sped at the same rate.i thought he was trying to show off... so i slowed down and he went firther... that was when the bus entered the play... gosh i kept following it for 3 freakin kilometres biz the thing kept stopping at every freaking(even remotely populated) bus stop!!! then i thought i SHOULD go to its right now... and i slowly start overtaking the bus from right when ,wat do i find--TADA!its the sardar!!!
grrr.... now i thought the bus was better... ok anyway,he saw me speeding and started blocking my way.i mean... i goes left and he goes left... i goes right and he goes right.... now he should've had eyes at the butt of his head,lol....biz he dint have a rear-view mirror then how the hell did he know which way i was going???yea anyway,i thought i should teach him civic sense... and i let him rule the road while he showed off his driving[over-action!>:( ] skills.then at a certain point,i took a left galli(lol,it is a chota diversion but it takes me home anyway)...this was exactly at the end of the looooong university road.and then i reached home safely.
sad i dint take his contact, els i would've surely texted him that i "reached safely thank u so much!"
yea meanwhile, the bus was far behind us and it lived happily ever after!!!
that there is an experience of most of the pretty wonderful girls of hyderabad.

LOL... i have hols!

Oh my God!
these days are holidays.....they are supposed to be fun and all.....we are supposed to enjoy every moment of these days,'coz we never got such days and never will kathey. So we aren't supposed to waste even a microsecond of these days kathey.lol it all sounds so good right?
but hey!look at us!everybody says the same thing,"Holidays are sooo boring"....i mean we have jobs yes,but not so interesting ones.these "jobs" include cleaning your room(oh no!),setting your books right(wat the heck!),ghar ki safaai(yew!gross!),dusting ur old unused bookshelves(uff!tiring) etc...hold it..this is just a jhalak into this world,if i have to list out the whole thing,it'll take 3k yrs for me to complete........... n 5k for u!
but there is no flip side alone for this....its got its own advantages and disadvantages.....when u r free(which u r s'posed to b always),u can actually catch up with all the movies u couldn't watch in college, read some of those amazing novels, watch TV(which i can neva do in coll!!) and the usual orkut, chat and blog.......now this looks like "the real holidays",right?
and all i've been doing is hog, meet frnds, hog, orkut, hog and yea sometimes practise music(wow!something that i love to do finally!),hog again,OMG....
well, i'll keep updating till i go back to SASTRA central jail...may be next time i can come up with something interesting!lol.......... :P

what DAKSH was for me

second sem for me was bad.i was put in this section where outta 60 i knew just 2 ppl!that was my bad luck, but in a way it was positive for me.like for instance, i made certain really good friends like dharma, harini, revathy, nandhini etc.....that aside,my subjects were damn boring-and cell biology was OMG too bad!! i couldnt understand one word of what my ma'am was teaching in class and eventually,i flunked it every single time.i started hating college so much!no old friends, alien subjects,no fun,i was just not myself.all this was from dec 2007 till mid feb 2008.new year's day was also just temporary.
and then it happened!
DAKSH came!!!!!
it is our college's annual tech-fest.it is the second largest tech-fest in south india.it was a time for us to throw open our minds for wild dreams and explore talents within us!it served as the the perfect platform for youngsters from various colleges to come out with their brilliant ideas.it was food for the hungry tech-savvy lot!
tech apart,it was fun for us.it was time to be together and enjoy each and every moment as it came by.we screamed,we played about,we lost the treasure hunt and what not!wow!what a life man those three days were!it is so true-u get DAKSHified automatically!just when i thought life was dry as a desert,DAKSH came and lubricated my life.and then i realised that college isnt all about just studies-its about making new friends, learning a million new things and cribbing more about ur subjects and staff to more number of ppl!!!:P
ok anyway, all this nostalgia is solely biz DAKSH'09 is coming up soon!and we're a part of the DAKSH'09 publicity campaign....
so all ye tech-wolves..... Come,Learn,Get Dakshified!!!!!
:)
